Douglas R. Sweet, CFP©/CLU, President of Midwest Financial Group, Inc. and Midwest Financial Advisors, Inc. began his distinguished financial planning career in 1985 with an emphasis on Comprehensive Financial Planning, Retirement and Estate Planning, Retirement Plan Rollovers and Retirement Income Planning.

After graduating with a B.S. in Finance form the Indiana Unversity Kelly School of Business in 1983, Doug worked as a consultant for a major insurance company.  He founded Midwest Financial Group, Inc. 1985.  He is a Certified Financial Planner CFP©, a Chartered Life Underwriter and has a Series 7 securities registration through LPL Financial.  He is also a Registered Investment Advisor with advisory services offered through Charter Advisory Corporation in Indianapolis.  Securities are offered through LPL Financial, the largest independent broker dealer in the United States. A respected lecturer and author, Doug is a regular contributor to several financial publications and the Indianapolis Business Journal as an authority on various financial and insurance issues.  He has frequent speaking engagements to groups and organizations across the country focusing on retirement planning and IRA Rollovers, comprehensive financial planning and estate planning. Doug is an active member of the MillionDollar Round Table and National Association of LIfe Underwriters (NALU). He has been named a 2010 FIVE STAR Best in Client Satisfacation Wealth Manager*. 

Doug was born in Wabash, Indiana and is a life long resident of Indiana. His wife, Sunali, is a Doctor of Optometry and partner in Sweet-Obenauf Eye Care, P.C.. He has two daughters, Natasha and Jasmine and a son, Jesse.
